House of Piano and Steinway Indonesia proudly presented Iskandar Widjaja & Niu Niu Piano in Concert, bringing together internationally acclaimed violinist Iskandar Widjaja and pianist Niu Niu for an evening of musical dialogue, expressive artistry, and performance.

Held on Friday, 28 August 2026, at the historic Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, the concert welcomed music enthusiasts, musicians, and audiences for an evening dedicated to the connection between two artists, two instruments, and a shared musical interpretation.

Throughout the performance, Iskandar Widjaja and Niu Niu brought their individual musical voices into a compelling dialogue between violin and piano. Moments of intimacy and delicacy unfolded alongside passages of greater intensity and virtuosity, revealing the expressive range of both instruments and the distinct artistic character of each performer.

At the heart of the piano performance was the Boston GP-215 Performance Edition II Grand Piano, designed by Steinway & Sons and featuring Steinway-developed hammers. The instrument brought the distinctive musical character of Boston together with the design expertise and piano-making heritage of Steinway & Sons, becoming an integral part of the musical experience throughout the evening.

Within the elegant surroundings of Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, the relationship between violin, piano, performer, and audience gave the concert its defining character. Rather than placing the instrument apart from the performance, the evening demonstrated how an instrument becomes part of the artist's expression, responding to nuance, dynamics, and interpretation as the music unfolds.
