House of Piano and Steinway Indonesia presented the IBA Home Concert, bringing together a Student Recital and Solo Concert at Steinway Gallery Indonesia, Central Park for a day dedicated to musical development, performance, and shared appreciation of music.

Held on Sunday, 30 August 2026, the event welcomed students, families, performers, and music enthusiasts into an intimate setting where musicians at different stages of their journey could share the experience of performing before an audience.

The programme began with the Student Recital, giving young musicians an opportunity to bring their progress from the practice room to the performance space. Performing on the Boston GP-156 Performance Edition II Grand Piano, each student was able to present their individual interpretation, reflecting the discipline, confidence, and musical understanding developed through continued study.

The programme continued with a Solo Concert on the Steinway & Sons B-211 Spirio, shifting the focus toward a different level of musical expression and performance. Through the solo programme, audiences were invited to experience the nuance, dynamics, and interpretative possibilities that emerge through the relationship between pianist and instrument.

From Musical Growth to Performance

The IBA Home Concert brought two distinct stages of musicianship into one programme.

For the students, the recital offered an important opportunity to perform, listen, and grow through the experience of sharing music with others. The Solo Concert extended that musical dialogue, offering audiences a closer encounter with performance shaped by interpretation, sensitivity, and artistic experience.

The Boston GP-156 Performance Edition II Grand Piano and Steinway & Sons B-211 Spirio each accompanied a different part of that story. One supported young musicians as they took another step in their musical development, while the other became the voice of the Solo Concert.

Together, the two sessions reflected a continuing musical journey, from learning and development to increasingly individual artistic expression.

More than a series of performances, the IBA Home Concert became a gathering around the shared experience of music, bringing students, performers, families, and audiences together within Steinway Gallery Indonesia.
